The explanation in Settings of how the Overview is worked out now matches the app, which works it out on your Mac with scan traffic left out.
The visitors chart draws straight away instead of animating in.

The 7, 30 and 90 day views now end on today's date in your time zone. Before this, today's visits were missing each morning until the clock in London caught up.
The visitors chart no longer drops the last day of the range or shows an empty day at the start.

The Overview is now worked out by the app from the visits it has already downloaded, so every number on the Overview, Sessions and Insights tabs describes the same traffic.
Days on the chart now follow your Mac's clock and time zone, so an evening visit no longer shows up under the next day.
Likely scan traffic is left out of Visitors, Pageviews, the chart and every breakdown, not only out of Sessions. You can still include it from the Insights or Sessions tab.
Channels now count each visitor once, under where they came from on their first visit, so someone who arrives from a search and then browses your site is no longer counted under both Search and Referral.
The Channel, Viewer type and Device filters now apply to Sessions, Bounce rate and the other session figures, not only to Visitors and Pageviews.
Top referrers list the page each visit arrived from, so your own site never appears in the list.
The PDF report uses the same figures as the Overview.
The update notice can be dismissed for a version. Settings still shows when a newer version is available.
Settings links to the open source licences of the components the app is built with.
Under the hood: the app's font is bundled, so starting the app no longer contacts a font service.

Settings now shows which version you're running, with a Check for updates button.
Export diagnostics in Settings saves a small text file you can send with a support request. It only contains counts and basic system details, not your site names, collector addresses, read tokens, goals or visitor data.
The app icon now sits beside the name at the top of the window.

While the app stays open, the update notice checks again, appears whenever your version differs from the latest release, and links to this page.
Top referrers no longer list your own site when visitors move between your pages.
Include flagged traffic now shows why traffic was flagged: bot, no origin or origin mismatch.
Goal counts now follow the Include flagged traffic option, like the rest of the dashboard.
Countries now shows Unknown and Tor network instead of raw codes, and explains when there's no country data (a PHP collector needs the site proxied through Cloudflare).
Your download is now fully signed and notarised by Apple, including the disk image itself.
Under the hood: updated components and more automated testing.

Sync could miss events if the app hadn't been opened for more than 30 days. Sync now asks your collector for its full history, and each site checks once more after updating, so anything missed is picked up as long as your collector still has it. New sites also load their full history, not only the last 30 days.
The app's internal connection is now limited to your Mac, with tighter request checks. We recommend updating.

The Countries card now shows the top ten countries by default, with a Show all option.
Dashboard tables and breakdown cards now use consistent, compact text sizing.
