IdentityPractice was inspired by a simple writing experiment described by Shopify co-founder Tobi Lütke: choose something you want to change about yourself, write a corresponding identity sentence repeatedly for seven days, then compare how true it feels with where you started.
This app is my practical interpretation of that idea. It adds a clear daily structure, optional proof actions, progress tracking, and an end-of-week comparison. IdentityPractice is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tobi Lütke or Shopify.
The identity is the north star. The repeated sentence is a practical route toward it, and an optional proof action gives the idea a place in ordinary life. AI suggestions explain that relationship rather than replacing the identity you chose.
No. You can write your own supporting sentence. AI suggestions are optional and use your own provider key.
No. Practice data is stored locally on your Mac. If you use AI suggestions, only the text you submit is sent to your selected provider.
IdentityPractice is an experiment, a quick build on an idea that I wanted to try for myself, which I am sharing with members. I may not continue to support it in the way I do the apps built for specific needs, and versions you downloaded during a paid membership period can still be used if that happens, as long as that period was not refunded.
No. IdentityPractice is only available with the membership.
