1. Software Products — Terms of Use
This section applies to all software sold by Tiong Creative.
Licence: Purchasing a product grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on your own devices. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the software.
Updates: Free updates are provided at the developer's discretion. There is no guarantee of future updates or new features.
No warranty: The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Tiong Creative is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the software. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiong Creative's total liability for any claim related to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it.
AI-generated content: Some products produce analysis, recommendations, or other output using artificial intelligence. This output is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. Tiong Creative does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated results. You are responsible for evaluating and verifying any output before acting on it.
Wellbeing & reflection tools: Some products (such as Ikigai Journal) are tools for personal journaling and self-reflection. They are not a substitute for professional counselling, therapy, or medical, financial, or legal advice, and do not provide diagnosis or treatment. If you are experiencing distress or a mental-health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
AI provider usage: Some products use third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) via your own API key. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and pricing. Tiong Creative is not responsible for charges incurred through your AI provider.
2. Privacy Policy
Software products: All project data, analysis results, and settings are stored locally on your device. No data is sent to Tiong Creative or any third-party server, with the following exceptions:
- AI features: When you choose to use an AI feature, the content you submit for that action (for example, a journal entry, note, or text you provide) is sent to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) using your own API key. This data is subject to the AI provider's privacy policy. Nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you trigger an AI action.
- Update checks: The app periodically checks for new versions. Only the current version number is compared — no personal data is transmitted.
- Page fetching: For products that fetch web pages (such as Content Checker Pro), the app fetches the URLs you add directly. No data about your usage is sent elsewhere.
API keys: Your AI provider API keys are encrypted and stored locally on your device. They are never transmitted to Tiong Creative or any third party.
Purchases: Your name and email may be stored for order fulfilment and support. Payments are processed by Gumroad, who acts as Merchant of Record. Your payment details are handled by Gumroad and are never seen or stored by Tiong Creative. All charges are processed in USD at the current exchange rate — prices displayed in AUD are for reference.
Contact form: The contact form on this website is processed by Basin (usebasin.com). When you submit the form, your name, email, and message are sent to Basin for delivery. Basin's privacy policy applies to this data. We do not use the form data for marketing.
Website analytics: This website uses our own privacy-first analytics, self-hosted on our own domain (stats.tiongcreative.com.au) — not a third-party service such as Google Analytics. It is cookieless: no cookies, no local storage, and no persistent identifiers, so you are not tracked across visits or across other websites. We record page views, the referring page, your general device type, and country. We also record clicks on outbound links and selected buttons to understand which resources and actions visitors find useful. To count unique visitors without cookies, a daily-rotating, irreversible hash is derived from your IP address, browser, and language preference — these details are used only to generate the hash and are never stored. This data is not personally identifying and is never shared with any third-party analytics or advertising service.
Cloudflare: This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects basic performance metrics (page load times, browser type) via its Web Analytics beacon. This is controlled by Cloudflare, not by us. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies & other data: Other than the analytics described above, this website sets no cookies and collects no personal data beyond the contact form (covered above).
3. Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If the software does not work as described, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
To request a refund, email david@tiongcreative.com.au with your order details. Refunds are processed through Gumroad.
Refunds are not available after 14 days or if the software has been substantially used beyond initial evaluation.
