How the main features work

Repeats and Due Dates
Repeat every N days, weeks, months or years, on the same date each year, once, or with no automatic repeat. The next due date can come from the schedule, so a renewal keeps its date whether you did it early or late, or from the day you actually did the work, which suits something like a service where the next one depends on when the last was done.
History With Undo
Marking an item done, skipping it or moving it each add an entry to its history. You can undo the latest entry, and the original stays in the history.
Reminders Through Apple Reminders
Connect Apple Reminders in Settings and Due Again keeps a "Due Again" list there with each item's next due date. Items sent to Apple Reminders alert on the day they are due, and you can add earlier alerts up to 6 months ahead, for things like passports. Ticking a reminder off in Apple Reminders only dismisses it, and you mark the item done in Due Again. Disconnecting removes Due Again's reminders and leaves anything you added to that list yourself.
Calendar and Costs
Month and year views, filtered by category, with spent and expected totals. Each item can have an expected cost, marked as an estimate when the amount changes each time. Costs stay in the currency you enter, so a US dollar subscription is never converted, and the totals list each currency separately.
Attachments
Add policies, certificates, manuals and receipts to an item (PDF, photos, Word, Excel or text files, up to 20 MB each), or attach a receipt while marking it done. Files are copied into Due Again's own folder on your Mac and open in the app you normally use for them.
Templates
Start a new item from a template by kind (bills and utilities, rent or mortgage, subscriptions, insurance, vehicle, health appointments, occasions, home maintenance, licences and documents, pets) or by schedule, or save your own.
Search and Shortcuts
Search your items with Cmd K, add one from anywhere with Cmd N, and press ? to see the other keyboard shortcuts.
Backups
A backup is made on your Mac each day, keeping 2 weeks, and you can name up to 10 restore points of your own. You can also choose a backup folder in iCloud Drive or Dropbox, which Due Again backs up to weekly and never deletes from. Restoring takes a copy of your current data first.
Export and Print
Export your items or history as CSV, or everything as JSON. The printable summary lists what is overdue and what is coming up over the next 30 days, 3 months or 12 months, with expected costs, and uses the Mac print dialog so you can save it as a PDF. Exports do not include attachments, so use a backup folder to move everything to another Mac.
Works With Your AI Assistant
Assistant access in Settings is off until you turn it on. While it's on and Due Again is open, an AI assistant on your Mac such as Claude Desktop or ChatGPT desktop can read and change your items, and what it reads is sent to the AI service behind that assistant. The setup steps are in the help centre.

Why Due Again instead of a calendar or a to-do app?

It keeps the history
A calendar alert can be dismissed and that is the end of it, whereas Due Again keeps each time you did the job, what it cost and the receipt.
It works out the next date
Repeat from the schedule or from the day you did it, so a late service can move your next one to match when you actually did it.
It adds up the costs
See what you spent on an item over time, and what is expected over the next 12 months.
How do I get started?

  3. Connect Apple Reminders. in Settings, if you want alerts when Due Again is closed, and allow access when macOS asks.

First time installing one of these apps? The Installing an app guide walks through downloading it from your Gumroad Library and installing it on your Mac.

Does it work offline?

Everything is stored on your Mac, and the only network request the app makes is a check of a version file on tiongcreative.com.au, with no data sent. Apple Reminders handles its own syncing, outside Due Again.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts, so you open the app and start adding items.

Does it send notifications itself?

No. Alerts come from Apple Reminders, so they show up whether or not Due Again is open, and Due Again does not run in the background.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

Due Again stores your data on your Mac. If you connect Apple Reminders, the item names and dates appear in a list there, and if you choose a backup folder in iCloud Drive or Dropbox your backups are copied into it.

Can I back up my data?

Yes, and the Backups section under Everything included covers how, including daily backups, named restore points and an optional backup folder.

Does ticking a reminder in Apple Reminders complete the item?

No, it only dismisses the reminder. You mark the item done in Due Again, which records it in the history and sets up the next reminder.

Requirements

Does it work on Windows?

No. Due Again is a Mac app only, for macOS 13 or later, on Intel and Apple Silicon.

Buying, updates and refunds

Can I try the app and get a refund?

Individual app purchases include a 14-day money-back guarantee, so install it, try it, and if it does not suit your needs, email david@tiongcreative.com.au with your order details within 14 days of purchase.

If your purchase is fully refunded and the licence ends, you must stop using the app and delete copies and installers held under that licence. Your own documents and exported work remain yours to keep.

Are updates included?

When you buy the app on its own there is no subscription, and future updates to it are included.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Due Again is a one-time purchase. Or get every app through the Tiong Creative membership with updates while your membership is active.

How is payment processed?

Prices are in USD and payment is processed securely by Gumroad. Gumroad may show the price converted to your local currency as a guide, but your card is charged in USD, so your bank may add a small foreign transaction fee.

What has changed in the latest version?

See the full list of changes on the changelog page. To update, download the latest version from your Gumroad Library, open the DMG, and drag the app to Applications. Choose Replace when macOS asks. Your data and settings are kept automatically.

Where are the complete guides and FAQs?

Step-by-step guides, from adding items and Apple Reminders to the calendar and backups, are in the Due Again help pages. Release notes are on the changelog page. For anything else, email david@tiongcreative.com.au.
