Get the latest version

Download the newest build from your Gumroad Library, then install it over your current copy:

  1. Download and open the .dmg.
  2. Drag DiagramSnap to your Applications folder.
  3. Choose Replace when macOS asks.

Your diagrams, decks, and settings are kept because they are stored outside the app.

More detail is in the Updating the app guide in the help centre.

Version 0.7.0

21 October 2026

Added

  • Assistant access — a new setting in Settings that's off until you turn it on. While it's on and DiagramSnap is open, the Tiong Creative assistant in Claude Desktop can read your diagrams and decks, create new ones, add slides, and rename or change them. It can't delete anything or use your AI key. How to set it up is in the Using an AI assistant guide in the help centre.
  • Previews in the chat — the assistant can show you a preview of a diagram or slide right in the chat.

Improved

  • Changes from the assistant — if the assistant changes the diagram or deck you have open, DiagramSnap reloads it. If you have unsaved edits, it asks whether to load the assistant's version or keep yours, so neither side's work is lost silently.
  • Under the hood: updated components and security fixes.

Version 0.6.6

3 October 2026

Improved

  • Opening a diagram — diagrams now open centred and zoomed out to fit your window, so a big diagram no longer opens partly off screen.
  • Narrow windows — the diagram toolbar now wraps onto a second row when the window is narrow, so Save, Components and Export stay in reach.

Fixed

  • Exported images — PNG, SVG and PDF exports now have a margin around the diagram, so outlines no longer touch the edge of the image.
  • Deck PDFs and presenting — slides now line up exactly with their background. Before, slide content came out slightly smaller and shifted.
  • Blueprint theme — switching a diagram with its own box colours to Blueprint now clears those colours, so the text stays readable.
  • Opening a deck — just opening a deck no longer asks whether to save changes when you leave.
  • Restoring a backup — each file is now written safely during a restore, so an interrupted restore can’t leave a half-written file behind.

Version 0.6.5

2 October 2026

Added

  • Check for updates — Settings now has a Check for updates button, so you can check straight away and see whether you’re up to date.

Improved

  • Update notifications — the app now also checks for updates when you come back to it and every hour while it’s open, not only at startup.
  • Newer AI models — if you use AI, DiagramSnap now runs on Claude Sonnet 5.5 or GPT-6.1 Sol, depending on which provider you picked. Claude can now read your images at a higher resolution. Your existing API key keeps working, so there’s nothing to re-enter.

Fixed

  • Local connection — the app’s internal connection is now limited to your Mac, with tighter request checks. We recommend updating.

Version 0.6.4

13 September 2026

Added

  • Update notifications — the app now checks for new versions on startup and shows a banner when an update is available, with a link to the changelog.
  • Diagnostics export — a new option in Settings lets you export a summary of your setup (counts and configuration only, never your diagrams or keys) to attach to support requests.
  • Open source licences — a link in Settings shows the third-party licences bundled with the app.

Improved

  • Settings footer — the Settings page now shows the current version, copyright, and links to Terms, diagnostics export, and open source licences.

Version 0.5.10

31 August 2026

Improved

  • Diagram auto-save — diagrams now auto-save shortly after edits, matching the deck auto-save behaviour for a consistent experience across the app.
  • Cleaner toolbar — the diagram editor toolbar has been reorganised with the title on the left and tools on the right, matching the deck editor layout.

Fixed

  • Text alignment — label alignment (top, bottom, left, right) now stays intact when using connector tools like Reverse and Reset route.
  • Duplicate naming — duplicating a diagram or deck now generates unique names (Copy 2, Copy 3, etc.) instead of reusing the same suffix.

Version 0.5.9

22 August 2026

Added

  • Duplicate diagrams — a new button lets you copy an existing diagram as a starting point.

Improved

  • Simpler saving — save now always updates the current diagram in place, including renames. The separate “Save as New” option has been removed to keep things straightforward.
  • Auto-save on exit — unsaved changes are captured when you refresh or close the window.

Version 0.5.8

18 August 2026

Fixed

  • PDF slide backgrounds — deck PDF export now keeps each slide's own theme background image instead of reusing the first background across the whole deck.

Version 0.5.7

18 August 2026

Improved

  • Deck autosave — slide decks now auto-save shortly after edits, reducing the risk of losing recent work after a restart or close.
  • Slide edit persistence — manual slide canvas edits now correctly mark the deck as changed, so Save and autosave persist visual changes.
  • PDF export size — deck PDFs now use compressed slide content rasters to reduce oversized exports.
  • Long-session rendering — slide thumbnail rendering now releases generated image resources to reduce memory pressure during longer editing sessions.

Version 0.5.6

18 August 2026

Improved

  • Presentation theme rendering — slide background images now appear correctly in presenter mode and PDF export.
  • Custom theme handling — saved decks reload with their selected theme, and theme application avoids overwriting manual text edits unless explicitly applied.
  • Font controls — text font-size controls now target selected text elements more reliably.
  • Backup safety — full restores are clearly labelled as destructive, individual diagrams and decks can be transferred safely, and external backup folders are supported.
  • Navigation — the app now focuses around Diagrams, Decks, and Settings.
